CoOL (Celebration of Organic Learning)
The ‘Celebration of Organic Learning’ (CoOL) is a student-led initiative where learners reflect on and articulate the ‘process of learning’ through the ‘what’, ‘how’, research conducted, areas of strength and development in the presence of an authentic audience. Some prominent attributes of this type of learning are High-Quality Work, Authentic Audiences, Communicating Learning, and Reflection.
MERAKI
A series of sessions led by university leaders who passionately engage learners in sessions that span a diverse range of topics, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and broadening academic horizons and embodying Meraki’s essence of putting soul and creativity into learning.
Session 1 – Our latest Meraki session was hosted by Dr. Barry Craig was a truly enlightening experience for our students. Dr. Craig spoke about the Importance of Liberal Education in a rapidly changing global economy.
Session 2 – Led by Meaghan Blight, the president of Wesleyan College, USA, the second Meraki session was about empowering teenagers for leadership positions.
Session 3 – The first Meraki session was on ‘The Life & Death Of A Cell’ by our esteemed guest Dr. Jeremy Simpson, (Principal & Dean of College of Science, University College Dublin)
COWB – Centre of Well-being
The Center of Well Being, a dedicated vertical at BHIS Mulund is focused on nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment for all our learners. It underscores our commitment to the mental and emotional wellbeing of our students.
The Center of Well Being is committed to addressing critical areas such as supporting learners with special needs, mental health concerns like anxiety, exam stress, and depression, as well as providing education on sensitive topics such as sex education and bullying. Our approach is holistic and multifaceted, encompassing advocacy, prevention, intervention, and professional management.
